About Voya

Built by someone who quit a few times first.

The full personal story is being written. This section will cover the 25 years of back-and-forth, what didn't work, what finally clicked, and how that became Voya.

Why I built Voya

People don't quit health apps because they lack discipline. They quit because the data stops making sense, and once it stops making sense, every clean day feels like wasted effort. The fix isn't more data. It's a coach who can interpret it.

That's the gap I kept falling into. So I built something to close it.

What we're not

Voya is not a medical device, not a clinical tool, not a replacement for your doctor, dietitian, or therapist. We don't diagnose, prescribe, or treat. If you're working through a condition that needs clinical supervision, please keep doing that with a qualified professional. Voya is built to complement that work, not stand in for it.

Down the road, we'd like Voya to plug directly into the workflows of dietitians, psychologists, and trainers, so the coaching their patients get on Voya stays in sync with the care their human professional is providing. That's on the roadmap.

What we are

Voya is the friend who happens to know exercise physiology, nutrition, and your last 90 days of data: available at 6am, at midnight, after a bad weekend, before a wedding. We explain why your body did what it did, and we coach you on what to do next.

That's it. That's the whole product.

A note on what we focus on

Voya works for any body-composition goal: weight loss, maintenance, or gain. At launch, our messaging and the coach's default framing lean toward weight loss because that's the problem I've lived myself and the one we're quickest at solving. If you're here to maintain or gain, you can still set a sprint and the coach will adapt. The full multi-goal experience is on the roadmap.
